Welcome to my page! The purpose of this endeavor is to share my assorted musings/writing/book recommendations with you all. I may even delve into *other* sorts of media too (no, not pornography! Think: storytelling through gaming for example). After all, we live in a crazy society where delicious delicious content is available in All Forms. It is my humble aim to become a *human printing press* and cover as much of it as possible. It is a goal I shall chase with much spunk, gusto and vim – among other rather antiquated words. Mission statement:
Much like Moist von Lipwig, it is our (my) duty here at The Flighty Press (literally me, in my room) to perpetuate the almighty power of the Word. By which I mean simply: words themselves. For words have power, you know. Power to change the world. That is, provided there are people willing to listen to them. And so, like Moist, I shall endeavour to deliver the mail (words) into your awaiting letterboxes (brain-holes) for your general amusement and pleasure. Perhaps even your education too. Who knows.
(Additionally, for those who aren’t aware, Moist von Lipwig is a character in the popular ‘Discworld’ novels by the late, but never forgotten, Sir Terry Pratchett. He does lots of enterprising things like re-opening the post office, restarting the royal mint and generally getting ‘stuck in’ to a bunch of wonderful innovations that made society what it is today. Well worth a read.)
